Admissions, campus and learning platforms with parent communication built in — engineered for the two weeks a year when everyone arrives at once.

Load in education is extraordinarily concentrated. A campus system can sit at a few hundred concurrent users for months and then face every student, parent and applicant simultaneously in a ten-minute window when results publish. That window is also the least acceptable moment to fail.

The second distinguishing feature is that a large share of users are minors, and another large share are parents acting on their behalf. That shapes consent, data retention and communication design in ways that a general business system never has to consider.

There's also a device and channel reality: families reach these systems on phones rather than laptops, and communication has to meet them where they actually read it.

Five recurring problems.

01

Admissions crashing under load

The single most common brief in this sector. Usually a specific bottleneck rather than raw capacity, and findable weeks in advance with a realistic load test.

02

Data spread across systems

Admissions in one system, attendance in another, fees in a third, and reconciliation done by hand. Integration typically delivers more than replacing any single system.

03

Communicating with parents

Fee reminders, attendance alerts and announcements over the channels families actually read, with consent handled properly.

04

Staff re-entering the same data

The same student details typed into three systems each term. Usually an integration problem masquerading as a staffing problem.

05

Access control for minors' data

Which staff member may see what, what a parent may see about their child and no one else's, and what happens when guardianship arrangements are complicated.

The services that carry most of our education work.

01

Custom Software Development

Admissions workflows, campus operations, fee management and the portals that students, parents and staff each need a different view of.

02

Cloud & Infrastructure

Load testing and autoscaling before admissions and results — with cost scaled back down for the quiet months.

03

Communication Platform

Fee reminders, attendance alerts, results notifications and announcements over SMS and WhatsApp with verified delivery.

04

Web Development

Prospectus sites and application portals that load quickly on the phones families actually use.

05

Enterprise Integration

Connecting the systems you already run so staff stop being the integration layer.

Four design rules we apply from the first schema on any system involving students.

01

Consent belongs to the guardian

Processing a child's personal data generally requires verifiable guardian consent. That must be modelled in the data — who consented, to what, and when — not assumed by enrolment.

02

Parents see their own child only

Row-level access tied to a verified guardian relationship, tested explicitly. This is the access-control bug with the worst consequences in this sector.

03

Retention has an end date

Student records don't need to be held indefinitely. Retention rules are defined per data type and enforced by the system rather than left to policy.

04

Communication respects the channel

Messages about a child go to the registered guardian on a consented channel, with opt-out honoured and delivery recorded.

We design and evidence the technical controls; safeguarding policy and its legal interpretation stay with your institution.

Usually, and usually without a rebuild. A load test against realistic concurrency finds the specific bottleneck — commonly an unindexed query, a synchronous payment call or a session store that doesn't scale horizontally. Come to us with two months before the window and there's time to fix it properly.
